Diane established The Vocation Station in May 2008. The success of Diane and her team lies within their vibrant personalities and passion for the industry – ensuring true satisfaction for client and candidates.
Diane’s career focus and experience has mainly been in recruitment, with diverse exposure and experience in both local and international markets.
After completing her studies, which included Office Management, Diane joined a dynamic generalist recruitment agency, where she worked her way up from a position of Typist to Office Manager/Accounts. Her responsibilities included setting-up and implementing various systems, overseeing and managing staff, adhoc recruitment of junior office support staff and liaising with the Director regarding all financial decisions.
Diane left to pursue opportunities overseas, settling in London with a hospitality recruitment agency as Administrator/Junior Recruitment Consultant.
Staying in London, Diane was given the opportunity to be part of a successful projects team as a Project Co-ordinator in a diverse role, which included dealing with setting up various projects to assist Educational Trainers throughout London to find and place their candidates within a suitable job market. Diane also assisted with placing several temporary staff within their own team.
On return to Cape Town, Diane joined a reputable Recruitment Agency as a Generalist Recruitment Consultant and was soon chosen to be part a huge recruitment drive for Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban International Airports, where she proved to be one of the top Recruiters for this project. Diane realized that there was an opportunity in the market to provide a more personalized and tailor-made customer focused service, which lead to her decision to establish The Vocation Station.
Specialties: Placing of staff as well as assisting with office administration solutions (i.e putting various systems in place from filing to computer systems).
